Omaha, Nebraska is a city not mentioned very often in the world of rap and Hip Hop culture. Loso Tha Artist plans to change that perspective with his consistent work ethic and originality. By way of Chicago, Loso has dropped the video for ‘2 Min Freestyle’ exhibiting his unrivalled unique tone and clever wordplay over production from frequent beat smith Thomas Saddler. Counting hip-hop heavyweights such as 50 Cent, Da Baby as heavy influences, the Chi-born artist spent most of his childhood in Omaha, where he attended men’s school choir and played sports. During his time in the choir, Loso practiced on music skills and rap and started to get good and had the opportunity to record on his own laptop.
Eventually Loso left the choir and took a leap of faith into the local music scene, releasing his first single & music video, ‘Go Dum’ in 2013. It was then followed by his official debut mixtape, ‘The Introduction’ which met local respect and appreciation. As his interest in music grew stronger, Loso began networking on the internet and linked with music marketer Dough From Da Go of Stack Or Starve Approved. That relationship lead to countless features and shows with the likes of Drill artist Lil Mouse, Sasha Go Hard & more! He says: “The music I create is everything – experiences, my escape, a trip through my lens. That trip is designed to evoke a series of emotion, from the fly, fast life of the city right down to your most vulnerable moment alone.Today, Loso continues to work on his craft, bringing the hardest tunes and lyrics through his latest single, ‘Behind You’. He has proclaimed to be the best artist Omaha has yet to see…check out ‘2 Min Freestyle’ below…
