The year was 1981 on the 14th day of November that Carlton Little aka C Mayja was introduced to the world. He is a multi-talented man. There are areas that he is making a name for himself today.
The first being Music. He was destined to be in the music game from his upbringing in a family full of singers and musicians. He is a long way from his days as a musician in the church and singer in the choir.
Today he is trying to establish himself as a r&b sext crooner for the grown and sexy. Mixing his sensual, timeless R&B vocals with genre defying music ,he created his own signature style that doesn’t sound like anything other artists are doing. His introduction to the musical world came in the form of his debut album, Love Wars Vol 1 which was released in the fall of 2022. His lead single “Better Than Me” generated buzz for him. He charted at 38 in October on the Vevaplay charts. He says he already has enough in his catalog to release the remaining two Volumes of the Love Wars series .

To me all the time. I can be in a movie theater and have a hook or melody come to me and I’ll step out to record a voice memo to reference when I get to my home studio”
Well he definitely is standing out in the music world. With his own genre-defying sounds, he developed a distinctive sound that will set him apart from more conventional R&B music
He wasn’t done yet .2022 was also the year He made his acting debut. He got a speaking role in a movie named Sacred Hart. A movie about a Black owned hospital in Pensacola florida with lots of drama. It was Produced by Elrico Tunstall and executive produced by hall of fame boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. “It was a learning experience. To see what goes into making a movie behind the scenes . One scene can take all day to get it perfect.”
Carlton says he wants to try and juggle both careers as long as he can without taking away from one or the other.
He eventually wants to establish himself as a producer for other artists, work on collaborations, and make great music while balancing his acting career. “I aspire to embody what an entertainer really is. Someone with all-round abilities.”
“I can rest when I’m 6 ft under . I was giving these gifts and talents to use and get to a platform to reach a large audience and be a true inspiration to them. If a little boy who came from orange mound , a neighborhood in Memphis TN , can do great things anybody can!
