Whatever Happens, Happens by M-Hunt is out now on all streaming platforms. The album is 16 songs of pure gold. Not only is this creativity M-Hunt’s best work, but production and mixing wise is incredible. The song that stands out the most has to be “Too Long” where you can hear the tears in M-Hunt’s voice as he projects some of his struggles coming up while interpolating Phil Collins “In The Air Tonight”
Also, we would like to shine light on some songs that were outside of the comfort zone. M-Hunt, who’s name is Matthew Stotz also has multiple R&B songs on this project, despite being such a lyrical hip hop artist. Whether you are getting your workout into tracks like “Casino” ft. The Young Pablo & “Gasoline” or finding your soft spot on “I.K.Y.K” followed by the immediate angry breakup song “Behemoth”
M-Hunt also is not shy of controversy as he has multiple lines about some sensitive topics. Comparing his past relationship to the events of September 11th on “Hold Me Down”: “Swore the last bitch was like 9/11, crazy, never forget” or bringing up the Make-A-Wish foundation on “Booth Session III”: “Have you so close to death kid turn you into a Make-A-Wish, that was fucked up I get it” Despite the potential problem causing lines you can’t help but appreciate the substance behind it and the rawness of M-Hunt this time around.
With close to one million listens already due to the smash success of “Empire” with Elijah James, “Money Talks”, “Clouds” and “All I Need” ft. Skrilla49 , it would be a crime to not place this new artist on your playlists. Hailing from New Jersey, M-Hunt who is still only 20 (turns 21 on Christmas Eve) has been at it for awhile and does not seem to be slowing down at all. This album is easily a 7 or 8 out of 10 and we hope to see new live shows and appearances from the “Dreams II/Difficult” rapper soon.
