Since then, Lakeyah signed with Quality Control Music joining a roster of superstar talents such as Lil Baby, Migos, The City Girls, Lil Yachty, and more. While also garnering praise from media outlets like BET, Billboard, Essence, Forbes, Refinery29, NYLON, and more – the latter describing Lakeyah as “a rap wunderkind.”
Over the years, Lakeyah has continued to affirm her status as a bonafide lyricist. Songs like “Mind Yo Business”(12M Views) featuring Latto, “Real B*tch” feat. Gloss Up(3.4M Views) and her guest verse on Nardo Wick’s 2021 single “Baby Wyd?” are mere examples of her record-breaking potential. Not to mention, Lakeyah’s versatility bridges the gap between hip-hop and R&B, introducing a balanced flow that she’s retained as part of her identity.
