The Philadelphia Sixers may have received more bad news. Reports have surfaced that Sixers guard Jason Richardson would need season ending surgery on his injured left knee due to a cartilage tear in his left kneecap. Richardson will miss about nine months after surgery which is horrible news to the Sixers front office.
Richardson is averaging 10.5 points with 3.8 rebounds while starting in all 33 games he played in during his first season with Philadelphia and will be greatly missed as the Sixers look to make postseason push.
Richardson will seek a second opinion late this week.
