Demione Louis has announced that his latest single, “Look Out” featuring record producer Versa, will be released this summer, August 23rd, 2024. The song is an aural metaphor for starting a new chapter in life. The primary melody embodies the soul’s release and is upbeat with a hint of melancholy. It also features soulful piano playing and warm hip-hop production, produced by Versa and music engineering by Jastin Artis to convey Demione’s message. As a sign of pride in his Haitian background, he blended relevant lyrics with a little bit of Haitian creole. Not many people are aware that Haiti was the first colony to outlaw slavery, with Toussaint l’Ouverture proclaiming the country to be the home of free Black men. Demione’s song celebrates the Haitian people and their hard-won freedom.

Demione, a Haitian-American rapper, has made public that he has taking a brief hiatus from the music profession to end his relationship with music label, Estabrook Roads Records. Demione released two songs and an album under the label, but contractual issues and revenue disputes prompted him to walk away due to breach of contract. Demione walked away from the label in less than a year, with the assistance of his Attorney, Robert Edwards II. Despite speculations, there was no hostility between the two parties and the separation was mutual. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family of Estabrook Road Records CEO Jason Payne, who died unexpectedly after the contract was terminated.
In a reflective moment, Demione looks back on his life and the challenges he has overcome to achieve his goals. He says, “No matter what your story is, we are all called to be something great. If God can make the wildest dreams of a poor kid from Haiti come true, He can do the same for you.” Demione encourages others to pursue their goals regardless of how unrealistic they may seem. He says that in order to succeed, you must put in a lot of effort at work, be loyal to yourself, maintain your faith, and surrender to God.
