We caught up with him in his L.A. studio, where he talked about music as therapy. “I just wake up grateful,” he said. “Putting those feelings into song helps me make sense of everything.” You can hear it in his laid-back melodies that still pack a punch.
His break came during an impromptu freestyle. Int’l Lee showed up to a casual session and ripped off lines so sharp, NFT Music Group knew they’d found something special. They signed him on the spot, drawn to his future-focused vision—blockchain ideas, creative ownership, all of it.
Now he’s deep into an EP that’s buzzing underground. He’s working with Cutty Dre on buttery beats, Anesha Birchett on soulful hooks, and DJ Wrex for that authentic turntable flair. Instead of chasing trends, Int’l Lee’s carving his own path.
“I’m not here to follow,” he says. “I just want to stay real.” And right now, the West Coast is listening.
