At just 23 years old, Atlanta-based artist DANMAR has already built the kind of momentum that many independent musicians only dream of. Balancing his final semester at Liberty University, where he’s majoring in audio engineering, DANMAR is shaping a sound that blurs the lines between hip-hop and pop while keeping his message grounded in purpose and authenticity.
Over the past four years, DANMAR has grown from a local creative to an artist with 130,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, earning mentorship and support from respected names in the Christian and pop-rap space such as Scott Free, Gio, and Loge.
A Breakout Year
2025 has been DANMAR’s biggest year yet. He’s gone from 14,000 to 130,000 monthly listeners, hit his first million-stream milestone with the single “Death is Dead,” and even appeared as a performing artist and songwriter on the Billboard #6 track “The Word is Alive”—a project that was also considered for a Dove Award.
His creative footprint doesn’t stop there. DANMAR contributed to “The Boy Who Ran from God” by Errol Allen, a record that reached #42 on the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap Chart, and celebrated his first solo iTunes charting single this year with “Death is Dead.” Recently, he also met Lecrae in the studio, who not only listened to his music but shared valuable advice about longevity and work ethic—an encounter that left a lasting impression.
The New Release: “One Call Away”
DANMAR’s newest single, “One Call Away,” carries a deeply personal message. Produced by Okay Warren, an apprentice of legendary producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, the track is written for his wife, expressing loyalty, reassurance, and faith in their bond. “She used to doubt that I’d stay,” DANMAR explains. “This song was my way of telling her that I’ll always be there—one call away.”
The Sound and Vision
For those who haven’t heard him yet, DANMAR describes his sound as a fusion of Juice WRLD-style emotion with a pop-rap polish—layered vocal stacks, energetic melodies, and production that feels alive and cinematic. His songs strike a balance between faith-based storytelling and mainstream accessibility, allowing him to connect with both Christian and secular audiences.
With the steady rise of his fan base and his recent charting achievements, DANMAR represents a new generation of artists who mix transparency, technical skill, and heartfelt storytelling. As he continues to evolve both musically and personally, it’s clear that this is only the beginning of his journey.
