MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK — Recording artist and producer Michael J Foxx is preparing to release FLOWERS, a deeply personal body of work centered around one powerful idea: growth comes from everything you survive.
For Michael J Foxx, FLOWERS is more than an album title. It is a metaphor for life.
Flowers don’t simply appear. They begin underground, surrounded by darkness, pressure, uncertainty, and dirt. They require time, patience, water, sunlight, and the ability to survive changing conditions before they ever reach the surface.
That same process mirrors Foxx’s journey as an artist.
Through FLOWERS, Foxx explores the experiences that have shaped him—the struggles, sacrifices, relationships, lessons, mistakes, accomplishments, and moments of self-discovery that have contributed to the person and artist he is today.
Rather than hiding the difficult parts of the journey, FLOWERS embraces them.
For Foxx, the “flowers” also represent the people, experiences, opportunities, and lessons that deserve recognition along the journey.
“You can’t have flowers without roots,” says Michael J Foxx. “And sometimes the most important part of your growth happens where nobody can see it. FLOWERS is about that part of the journey.”
As a recording artist and producer, Foxx brings his signature hands-on approach to the project, continuing his tradition of creating music that blends hip-hop, melody, storytelling, and personal reflection.
Following projects including Off The Stoop Vol. 1, Off The Stoop Vol. 2, Burning Melodies & Heartbreak, and Fortunate, FLOWERS represents another evolution in Foxx’s artistic journey.
