R&B veteran Tank is preparing to release his 12th studio album, “Experience,” on Sept. 25 through R&B Money/BMG. The announcement arrives as his latest single, “Yes,” continues to gain momentum on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, where it has reached the No. 10 position. The song adds another chapter to Tank’s more than two-decade career and sets the tone for a new project from one of contemporary R&B’s established voices.
Tank’s schedule extends well beyond the studio. The singer is currently performing alongside Usher and Chris Brown on The R&B Tour: Raymond & Brown, bringing his catalog and live performance style to audiences across the country. His career has also increasingly crossed into television, with Tank set to appear as Eric Cropper in the upcoming fourth season of Hulu’s “Reasonable Doubt,” which premieres Oct. 6.
“Experience” arrives during another period of visibility for Tank, who has continued to connect with audiences through music, touring and appearances across entertainment. The album follows a career marked by chart success and major moments in R&B, including his participation in Verzuz, which introduced his work to another generation of listeners.
