Calculated rage. Cinematic imagination. One artist moving at a frequency the industry hasn’t quite figured out how to measure.
MUSIC • CULTURE • ARTISTIC FREEDOM • SEPTEMBER 2026
Born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and sharpened by the relentless creative energy of Los Angeles, GODSPEED is emerging with a vision that refuses to acknowledge traditional boundaries. Phillip Speed, the college athlete turned multi-genre recording artist, producer and engineer, approaches music with the emotional intensity of calculated rage and the meticulous instincts of someone determined to master every stage of the creative process. Between experimental soundscapes, unconventional photography and ambitions extending into fashion and entertainment, GODSPEED is constructing a world where artistic freedom takes precedence over industry expectations.
GRAVITY WAS NEVER PART OF THE PLAN
An unconventional lens. A different perspective. A creative vision that cannot be contained inside a traditional frame.
Suspended above a towering window, GODSPEED looks down into a camera positioned beneath a striking architectural backdrop. Natural light floods the room. Distressed denim falls loosely over oversized sneakers, a graphic shirt introduces flashes of artistic rebellion, and an overhead light creates an almost accidental halo.
Something about the photograph immediately changes the atmosphere. GODSPEED isn’t performing for the camera in the conventional sense. No extravagant jewelry, elaborate Hollywood set or predictable promotional pose competes for attention. Perspective becomes the entire production, transforming an ordinary environment into an image that feels almost supernatural.
Such visual instincts reveal something important about the Jacksonville native. Music might be the most recognizable form of expression, but photography offers another window into an imagination fascinated with unusual angles, unexpected compositions and the creative possibilities surrounding contemporary street culture.
GODSPEED belongs to a generation capable of discovering new sounds, underground fashion movements and international visual trends within seconds. Cultural influences move freely across geographical boundaries, leaving ambitious creators with almost unlimited opportunities to experiment.
Rather than confining that imagination to a familiar category, GODSPEED embraces the collision. Hip-hop, alternative expression, experimental production and unconventional visual storytelling become interconnected pieces of an artistic identity that continues evolving with every project.
FIRST CHAIR. DIFFERENT DESTINY.
Before Los Angeles, studio sessions and industry ambitions, another kind of discipline was quietly shaping Phillip Speed.
Music entered the picture during childhood, with GODSPEED participating in school band throughout middle school and the first year of high school. Earning first-chair placement provided an early introduction to musicianship, while competitive soccer eventually opened another door. A collegiate athletic career brought GODSPEED to UNC Wilmington, where an unexpected fascination with beat production would ultimately change the direction of an emerging professional journey.
Somewhere between academic responsibilities and competitive athletics, music began demanding more attention. GODSPEED found greater fascination in the construction of records, becoming increasingly curious about the sounds, arrangements and technical decisions taking place behind the microphone.
Producing beats introduced an entirely different creative obsession. Understanding the mechanics of a record suddenly became as compelling as the finished song.
Eventually, the pursuit of music required a major decision. GODSPEED left the soccer program, shifted academic focus toward music technology and completed a degree before relocating to Los Angeles.
Changing direction meant entering unfamiliar territory without the structure of an established athletic program. Studio sessions replaced training schedules. Production software became another instrument. Countless hours of experimentation offered an education that extended beyond any classroom.
Los Angeles introduced a different kind of competition, where creative ambition meets the everyday realities of an industry built on relationships, opportunity and execution.
Navigating that environment independently presented significant challenges. GODSPEED has identified versatility, adaptability and becoming comfortable with uncertainty as important elements of the journey.
Every experience contributed to the development of an artist capable of approaching music from multiple perspectives.
BEAUTIFUL DISORDER: CALCULATED RAGE MEETS SONIC PRECISION
Beyond traditional hip-hop exists a creative universe where raw emotion, experimental production and technical discipline occupy the same frequency.
GODSPEED understands the difference between simply performing a record and knowing how to construct one. Producing, engineering and recording original material offer the opportunity to shape every dimension of a composition without depending entirely on someone else’s interpretation.
Creative freedom becomes particularly interesting when technical knowledge enters the conversation.
Aggressive expression provides one dimension. Alternative influences introduce another. Melody, rhythm, unpredictable arrangements and contrasting emotional textures create opportunities to explore sounds that might otherwise exist in completely separate musical categories.
GODSPEED operates comfortably within that creative tension. Calculated rage becomes a form of artistic energy rather than a limitation, giving the recording process room for intensity without sacrificing precision.
Modern listeners encounter an extraordinary range of influences across digital platforms, frequently moving between international hip-hop, electronic music, alternative culture and experimental artists within the same listening session. GODSPEED’s multi-genre direction reflects that increasingly borderless relationship with sound.
Versatility also extends into production work for other artists. Professional credits include “Mars,” the introduction to Star Bandz’s Estrella, co-production on “Big Spender” by Dashawn Jordan and 24Hrs, and production for the outro of Dalait’s DALI’S INFERNO.
Collaborating across different projects requires an understanding of musical identity beyond personal preferences. Every recording presents a new creative environment, challenging producers to balance technical knowledge with the emotional intentions of the performer.
For GODSPEED, those experiences contribute to an expanding musical vocabulary. Each collaboration introduces new possibilities, while solo material offers complete freedom to experiment with whatever direction the imagination demands.
SIXTEEN TRACKS. NO GUEST FEATURES. PURE EXPRESSION.
An invitation into the creative world of an artist who refuses to surrender individuality for familiarity.
Released on May 25, 2026, THE INTROVERTED CHILDREN ii represents another chapter in GODSPEED’s growing discography. Across 16 tracks, the album places the Jacksonville native at the center of the project without relying on guest features.
Earlier projects, including The Introverted Children, Starseed and On My Own, provide additional context for an artistic journey built around experimentation and personal expression.
Revisiting the Introverted Children concept introduces an opportunity to explore an established creative world from a new perspective. GODSPEED approaches the latest installment with the accumulated experience of a producer, recording artist and engineer, bringing several dimensions of musicianship into the same project.
Song titles such as “ILLUSIONS,” “PURE ECSTASY,” “WHEREDOIBEGIN?” and “UGLY TRUTH” introduce a vocabulary of contrasting emotions. Together, those selections suggest an interest in examining the complicated relationship between uncertainty, ambition, vulnerability and intensity.
“CHRIS HANSEN” has become a central part of the current RADIOPUSHERS promotional campaign, introducing the album to audiences across multiple independent radio platforms.
Beyond an individual release, THE INTROVERTED CHILDREN ii establishes another opportunity to experience GODSPEED as a multidimensional creator. Production, performance and technical execution become different expressions of one artistic vision.
THE CYBERTRUCK EFFECT: BUILT OUTSIDE THE BLUEPRINT
Unconventional engineering. Futuristic imagination. A visual identity designed to challenge every familiar angle.
Imagine a Cybertruck entering a parking lot filled with conventional luxury vehicles. Sharp architectural lines immediately disrupt the landscape, creating an entirely different conversation about what futuristic design can look like.
GODSPEED brings a comparable mentality to contemporary music and visual culture.
Unconventional photography introduces a striking aesthetic, built around architectural environments, experimental camera positioning and streetwear that feels naturally connected to the artist’s personality.
Every composition creates an opportunity to manipulate perspective. Dramatic lighting changes the atmosphere. Clothing contributes texture and cultural identity. Unexpected angles transform familiar surroundings into something that demands attention.
GODSPEED’s photographic approach suggests an interest in creating images that communicate without requiring elaborate explanations.
Consider the floating-window photograph. Unusual positioning, natural light and striking architecture establish an atmosphere that could easily belong to an alternative fashion campaign or experimental album cover.
Nothing about the composition attempts to imitate conventional celebrity photography.
Such visual experimentation creates opportunities to develop a recognizable aesthetic across multiple artistic disciplines. Album artwork can introduce an entire visual universe. Fashion provides another form of personal expression. Music videos offer room to transform recordings into immersive cinematic experiences.
GODSPEED’s creative ambitions reflect an understanding that modern artistry extends well beyond a recording booth. Photography, sound and fashion offer different ways to communicate the same underlying imagination.
Every medium becomes another opportunity to construct something unmistakably original.
CHRIS HANSEN: THREE FREQUENCIES. NO CREATIVE CEILING.
Jacksonville roots meet Los Angeles energy as GODSPEED expands an independent radio presence through the RADIOPUSHERS ecosystem.
Independent radio introduces a different kind of opportunity for emerging artists. Beyond digital playlists and algorithm-driven recommendations, curated programming creates another pathway for audiences to discover music outside familiar commercial expectations.
GODSPEED is now extending that reach through a developing partnership with RADIOPUSHERS.
According to the network, “CHRIS HANSEN” is receiving rotation across three radio environments: OpenWav Radio on Apple Music, POWER 102.8 Los Angeles on TuneIn and 99.7 DA HEAT MIAMI on Apple Music.
Each station provides a different opportunity to introduce GODSPEED to listeners discovering independent music through curated programming.
Serving as a RADIOPUSHERS brand ambassador introduces another dimension to that relationship. Opportunities for artist development, independent media exposure and creative collaboration create a foundation for expanding beyond conventional music promotion.
GODSPEED enters the partnership with an established discography, a developing production resume and a striking visual identity, giving newly introduced audiences several opportunities to explore the work.
Additional exposure also places greater emphasis on the relationship between independent artists and the people who connect with their creative vision. A record might introduce the name, but the broader artistic experience provides an opportunity to build something more meaningful.
For GODSPEED, “CHRIS HANSEN” represents another entry point into an expansive creative universe.
AN EMPIRE BEYOND THE MICROPHONE
Fashion. Animation. Independent ownership. GODSPEED is envisioning a creative world that stretches far beyond recorded music.
Long-term ambitions include establishing an independent record label, opening a recording studio, developing a clothing brand and creating an adult animated series. Each venture represents another opportunity to extend the artistic imagination beyond conventional music production.
Recording facilities could provide a home for future projects and collaborations. Independent ownership would create opportunities to develop music according to an individual creative philosophy, while fashion and animation introduce entirely different approaches to storytelling.
GODSPEED’s existing technical experience provides an important foundation for those ambitions. Producing, engineering and performing require an understanding of several interconnected disciplines, creating practical opportunities to approach future projects from more than one perspective.
An independent creative company would introduce additional challenges, from business development to establishing relationships across different industries. GODSPEED’s willingness to embrace unfamiliar territory, however, has already played an important role in shaping the journey from collegiate athletics to professional music.
Photography introduces another compelling opportunity. Striking visual concepts could become the foundation for fashion campaigns, original merchandise or animation projects built around a distinctive artistic aesthetic.
GODSPEED isn’t limiting the definition of a recording artist to someone who simply releases music. Creative ambition extends toward constructing an environment where multiple art forms can coexist and evolve.
NO GRAVITY. NO PERMISSION. NO FINISH LINE.
Jacksonville created the foundation. Los Angeles introduced a different level of ambition. GODSPEED is still building the world that connects them.
Return to that photograph above the towering window. Natural light fills the background, architecture creates the frame, and GODSPEED occupies the composition with an effortless disregard for conventional perspective.
One unexpected camera angle transforms an ordinary setting into a memorable piece of visual storytelling.
A similar philosophy connects the different chapters of an unconventional creative journey. Collegiate athletics introduced discipline. Music production demanded technical curiosity. Los Angeles provided an opportunity to experience the realities of an industry where creativity and ambition must coexist with persistence.
Photography, fashion and experimental music now offer different avenues for expanding that vision.
GODSPEED continues developing a creative identity defined by curiosity, independence and the freedom to explore ideas without committing to a single artistic category.
Beyond the latest album, radio rotation and emerging brand partnerships, the larger story remains one of creative evolution. Every recording, photograph and future venture offers another opportunity to challenge expectations and introduce something unfamiliar.
Jacksonville will always remain part of the foundation. Los Angeles continues to shape the next chapter.
GODSPEED is creating without allowing either geography or genre to determine where the journey ends. GODSPEED is a Global Ambassador of RADIOPUSHERS and MUSICHYPEBEAST.
