Gilbert (Buck Roger$) Fleming was born January 21, 1987 in the Bed-Stuy section of Brooklyn, New York, USA. He began rapping in his first year at Acorn High School. Buck Roger$ got his name from The “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century” television series.
Buck say, “I chose that name because I felt that I was the future of Hip-Hop and it was also catchy”.
In 2005, Buck found management under Blakk Money Management. The company did a lot to help him learn and grow as an artist. Under Blakk Money Management Buck has learn almost everything he knows about music as a business. “Blakk Money has helped grow from a rapper into a artist and without them I don’t know where I’d be?”
After doing countless, collaboration mixtape appearances, showcases, radio interviews and tours Buck released his debut solo mixtape “Mr Roger$ NeighborHOOD” is early 2009. “That mixtape made all my hard work pay off, I was so proud of myself because I know plenty of artist that didn’t even get that far”.
In mid 2010 Buck released a his “Idol Light” EP, with the lead single “Push It” a high up tempo track that’s great for parties. January 1st off 2011 Buck released the video for “Push It” which is getting great feed back. “I honestly didn’t expect the video to get the attention that it’s getting but I appreciate it and instead of getting comfortable I’m going to keep working to achieve more”.
