Soulja Boy x Cricket Wireless Mobile. Soulja Boy might not get much love with the hip-hop community but he sure knows how to strike a business deal, and more important, strike while the proverbial iron is hot. He already has a shoe deal in place with Yums and an Xbox 360 game deal and now he officially has a wireless mobile deal in place with new company Cricket Wireless.
Under the deal terms, Cricket Wireless will use Soulja Boy’s new single “Kiss Me Thru the Phone” to drive users to their newly launched mobile music service. The music service will allow Cricket customers to purchase songs and download them directly to their mobile phones and also on to their computers.
As part of the deal, Soulja Boy will promote Cricket Wireless with concerts and appearances. Oh…and he gets a nice royalty every time someone downloads the song for $1.99. Some might doubt his staying ability, but there is no doubt Soulja Boy is getting paid while he can.
