The only thing that was stopping the Philadelphia Eagles from signing former 3rd overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft , quarterback Vince Young was that he had yet to be released from his former team the Tennessee Titans. Well the wait is over. Thursday afternoon Titans owner Bud Adams released Young after 5 great seasons and a record of 30-18. Things got rocky in Tennessee as former head coach Jeff Fisher and Young seemed to never be on the same page.
Young is expected to fly to Philadelphia tonight once he is cleared from the NFL waivers list to join the Birds and sign a one year deal. If a deal is reached Young would be the new back up for Vick as the Eagles begin their Super Bowl run. Currently, 2010 fourth-round pick Mike Kafka is Vick’s backup.
