Joey Vento, the outspoken owner of Geno’s Steaks in Philadelphia, has passed away at the age of 71.
Vento fell ill at his home. It is unclear if he passed away there or on the way to the hospital.
He became known nationally in 2006 when he asked customers to order cheesesteaks in English.
Recently, Vento had battled colon cancer.
