Tonight’s 2013 NFL week 15 Thursday night football matchup features the (6-7) San Diego Chargers march into the Mile High City to face the (11-2) Denver Broncos.
Denver quarterback Peyton Manning is destroying the record books this season and doesn’t seem to be letting up. Fighting for home field advantage during the AFC playoffs, the Broncos are looking to come out tonight and get one step closer to that goal live on the NFL network.
San Diego has showed promise at times this season but their overall record shows otherwise. Phillip Rivers is quietly having his best season in a Chargers uniform but it doesn’t seem like that will equal a playoff berth. San Diego’s offense is certainly one of the best in the AFC but their defense still needs some improvements.
Tonight I expect this to be a high scoring shoot out from the Broncos and Chargers. Look for Peyton Manning and that Denver offense to get out on the run early and to never look back. Phillip Rivers and his offense won’t go down without a fight. I expect Peyton to toss 5 touchdown passes for over 418 passing yards while Rivers will toss 3 touchdown passes for 325. The Chargers will make it a game but Denver’s mission for a NFL championship won’t be derailed tonight.
Chargers 27 Broncos 48
