50 Cent turned heads recently when he announced that he was leaving Shady/Aftermath/Interscope to sign with Caroline/Capitol/UMG. In a recent interview, 50 breaks down that his deal is similar to Birdman’s Cash Money Records since he on gives “7% of wholesale per album to Universal in exchange for distribution and support.” Caroline, Fif’s new record company, will allow him more creative control over his projects. The Queens rapper was suppose to release one last album with Interscope but due to his relationship with Eminem and Dr. Dre, he didn’t have to.
