New York Knicks president Phil Jackson has tried to talk to Carmelo Anthony about taking a pay cut and staying with the Knicks next season however Carmelo has other plans.
Carmelo Anthony is set on opting out of his deal with the New York Knicks and he plans to test free agency this summer. The Lakers, Bulls and Hawks have been teams named with high interest in Melo and recently the Miami Heat have mentioned that if Melo hits free agency they may go after him as well.
Despite Melo testing free agency that doesn’t mean he will leave the Knicks. There is still a small chance that Knicks fans will see Melo at Madison Square Garden next season.
