According to Philly.com, Meek Mill will not be released from jail until September. After getting arrested July 11th, because the DA was worried he would violate probation, Judge Genece Brinkley who originally sentence the 27 year old rapper, has announced that due to her court schedule, she would not be holding any hearings until September.
“All I’m asking for is a hearing to learn why [his jailing] is constitutional and they won’t even give me that,” said Christopher Warren, one of Meek’s attorneys on the case.
With this set back, Warren plans on taking Robert Williams’ case to the Superior Court.
“The last thing I want to do is go running to another judge to tell another judge what to do. But we have no choice,” said Warren.
Meek’s new album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, is scheduled to be released on September 9, but due to these circumstances, the LP will most likely get pushed back due to lack of promotion.
Stay tuned.
