Former Detroit Pistons guard and former NBA champion Chauncey Billups has announced that after 17 seasons in the league, he plans to retire. Billups was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 1997 and was a five time NBA all-star. Billups stated that although his mind is still strong and he knows he has the IQ to still play in the NBA, not being healthy over the past three years has played a huge part in this decision. Despite only playing in 61 total games over the past three years, Billups finishes his career averaging 15.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists.
