When the topic of authentic, street-oriented Hip-Hop comes up there is one name that simply cannot be overlooked: Jeezy. The veteran Atlanta trap rapper has done it all and seen it all, hence the title of his 5th major label studio album: ‘Seen It All: The Documentary’. The Snowman is at a crossroads in his career after a decade of giving the thugs motivation and, as the slight name change suggests, he’s all grown up and ready to play the role of big homie to the streets.

‘Seen It All’ hit stores yesterday, Septmeber 2nd, and after a tumultuous week that included being booked for weapons charges during his co-headlining ‘Under The Influence’ Tour for allegedly having an AK-47 on his tour bus, Jeezy was back on the streets ready to celebrate his album’s release in a major way.

Jeezy hosted a private breakfast at Frank Ski’s Lounge in Atlanta’s Buckhead section to view a live taping of his interview and special edition with the hit radio morning show “The Breakfast Club”, in conjunction with New York’s Power 105. 1 and Atlanta’s Streetz 94.5.

Although Power 105.1’s radio host trio of DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God are known for rocking NYC radio waves every morning, Jeezy made an unprecedented move by bringing the crew to Atlanta to host a special episode of their popular program.

“I just wanted to do it different,” Jizzle said of bringing the triumvirate to the bottom of the map. “Every time I’ve done ‘Breakfast Club’ it’s been in New York and I just wanted to change the tempo and bring it to my town, my city and it was all love. Shout out to them for coming through.”

After the morning listening session, Jeezy headed to the W Hotel in Midtown Atlanta to join the Jay Morrison Academy for a press conference about giving back to the Atlanta youth. In collaboration with his personal charity, the Street Dreamz Foundation, Jeezy donated $1 million to the “Another Way Out” Scholarship Program which provides inner city youth with the opportunity to learn about real estate investment. . After the press conference, SnowGo chopped it up with our very own Eldrado about what fans should expect from his new album, the importance of giving back to his community, having “The Breakfast Club” come to his stomping grounds and much more

“We just gotta give back to our community. We gotta empower our youth,” Jeezy emphasized. “We gotta empower the cats that’s going through the struggle, tryna figure it out. I wanna be apart of that. I wanna be the vehicle for that.”

Jeezy stated that he intends for his new album to serve as a learning experience for those who hear it.”I just want ‘em to get some knowledge from it. I dropped a lot of jewels on there, ” Jeezy said of the impact he hopes the album will have on listeners. “That ‘Seen It All’ is really about my life and my struggle, my pain and my stride, and I just hope that they can take that and learn something from it.”

Jeezy also explained the significance of his albums September 2nd release date.”Actually, I dropped it on September 2nd and it’s the same day that I dropped ‘The Recession’ which is one of my favorite albums that I did,” he disclosed. “I wanted to make sure I did it on the same day as ‘The Recession’ just to get that energy.”

It’s always been deeper than rap when it comes to Young, and the emcee used the album release day as an opportunity to make a powerful statement.

Before concluding the interview, Jeezy spoke on his favorite records on the new LP.

“There’s a record on there called ‘Enough’ that I really love. And I really love ‘4 Zones’,” Jeezy admitted. “I feel like those records are so near and dear and close to me, man, and they’re just like: If you really wanna hear where Jeezy’s mind state at, that’s where I’m at.”
