The 2016-17 NBA season is live and in full effect and things were rolling on Wednesday night with Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade and the Chicago Bulls came to Philips Arena for the first time this season to face Dwight Howard and the Atlanta Hawks. This was Dwyane Wade’s first game in Atlanta as a member of the Chicago Bulls and despite his 25 point performance, the Atlanta defeated the Bulls (115-107).
For the Bulls, all-star Jimmy Butler played huge scoring 39 points shooting (13-24) with 7 assist. Dwyane Wade was solid for the Bulls scoring 25 points on (10-17) from the field. Isaiah Canaan and Doug McDermott added 8 points each off of the bench. Rookie Denzel Valentine didn’t play due to coach decision.
For the Atlanta Hawks, Dwight Howard continues to be a force in the paint scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Howard currently leads the NBA in double-doubles. Paul Millsap added 16 points and Kyle Korver following that with 11 points of his own. The player of the night was Thabo Sefolosha who finished the game with 20 points on (8-9) shooting from the field. At one point, Thabo was (7-7) from the field.
