Basketball tips off early today in Atlanta. On Sunday March 26th, the (37-35) Atlanta Hawks return home to Philips Arena to host the (15-57) Brooklyn Nets.

The Atlanta Hawks come into today’s game riding a six game losing streak. Hawks stars Paul Millsap and Kent Bazemore will miss Sunday afternoon’s game due to injury. The Brooklyn Nets are the worst team in the NBA and they have only won five games on the road all season. The Nets have lose five straight games to the Hawks including two games this season.

After losing on Friday night to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Atlanta Hawks are currently in sixth place in the 2016-17 NBA eastern conference playoff race. The matchup between Hawks point guard Dennis Schroder and Jeremy Lin will be key today. Dennis Schroder has stepped up since Paul Millsap’s absence but his play hasn’t resulted in victories for the Hawks. Sunday’s game is sort of a must win for the Hawks who only have a two game lead on the Miami Heat for the eight seed in the East.
