I must confess. This division is the WORST in football. I still dont understand how with all four teams having so much talent all though out each roster. Last year a 7-9 Seattle team not only won the division and hosted a home playoff  game. They also beat the defeating super bowl champs the New Orleans Saints. I don’t see that formula repeating itself this year. With new faces in key places all over the NFC west, I’m excited to see which teams will grow and which teams will stink.

The 49ers have entirely too much talent to only win five games but hey that’s what happen with Alex Smith as your starter. The former number one pick hasnt and won’t live up to what he could’ve been this season. New head coach Jim Harbaugh is excited to have Frank Gore signed and ready to go and with the addition of Braylon Edwards they should have a explosive offense with Crabtree, Davis,Gore and Edwards but the man behind center will control the niners fate. Even with the signing of DB Carlos Rogers the  niners defense will rank below 20th and will give up about 21 points a game. Too much for that offense to make up. I can easily see the niners aiming for Andrew Luck in the 2012 draft if the season is over after week 12.

In Pete Carroll’s second year he needs to prove he can coach in the NFL. With big offensive moves in the off season bring Tarvious Jackson and Sidney Rice from Minnesota and Zach Miller from Oakland they have beefed up their offense but
with no key additions on defense I dont see much on a improvement from the Seahawks. Seattle will need their 12th man help spark something new.

I love the direction this team is heading in. Second year QB Sam Bradford nearly got his team into the playoffs last year and with a year under his belt, the sky is the limit for this team. Cadillac Williams & Jerious Norwood joined the team to help Stephen Jackson lighten his work load.  The Rams also added Targets for Bradford with the signings of WR Mark Clayton and sure handed Mike Sims-Walker. Head Coach Steve Spagnuolo is a defensive genius. I believe he will gave that defense in the top 10 this year with the the growth of LB James Laurinaitis and rookie Robert Quinn. Look for the Rams to make some noise this year but just miss the playoffs.

2010: 5-11       2011: 10-6
I think Arizona is gonna take this division by storm. With the signing of Kevin Kolb and after drafting DB Patrick Patterson from LSU, the Cards are moving in the right direction. There aren’t many glaring spots on this team but the combo of Kolb to Heap or Fitzgerald will be scary all season long. The Cards were lost at the QB position after losing Warner and Kolb will be a pro bowler heading into the future.
