For those that had never heard of Lil Mouse, millions have now due to the rapid success of Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4 mixtape released this past Labor Day that is breaking bandwith records for a mixtape on the internet. Literally stated Wayne is fucking up the web! On the tape Wayne raps over a song called “Dont Get Smoked” by the 13 year old Chicago rapper. The original version of the song is as street as ever and features the younging rapping in a Shawty Lo-esque style filled with gun bars, money talk and death threats.
Here is Lil Mouse x Lil Wayne’s “Don’t Get Smoked” Remix on the Dedication 4
At its height the song and video had gotten up to 600K views on YouTube and was removed because it was deemed as child abuse. I believe it reached similar or greater numbers on WSHH as well who were also forced to remove it. With Wayne remixing the track, it has given it new life and sparked a bidding war for Lil Mouse that DJ Folk (@DJFolk on twitter) said includes “EVERY LABEL.” I would imagine that due to the love he showed the youngster Wayne and the YMCMB crew would have the inside track but this is not verified.
