Purpose A Few Good Men: Philly's Purpose Youth Basketball Clinic

In a city well known for tough mentalilities and gritty ball players three young men from the West Oak Lane area of Philadelphia have stepped up to not only continue that tradition but to also teach todays youth what most of their games sorely  lack. FUNDAMENTALS.

Darius Holman, Mike Smith and Maurice Montgomery all natives of Philly are all coaches and founders of the “Purpose Basketball Clinic” a basketball clinic for children 14 and under looking for ways to expend their games, stay out of trouble or just run around and get a good workout. Best of all these gentleman are doing all for FREE. Please pass along the word and or take your kids to a clinic that may change their entire life. Check out the information below:

What: Teaching children ALL fundamental basketball skills and mentoring them to become skilled basketball players, and more importantly, good people.

Where: Houseman Recreation Center (Summerdale Ave & Pratt St, Northeast Philly)When: every Saturday from 10am to 1pm

For: children (boys & girls) ages 14 and under

Price: FREE!

Why: to provide a positive outlet for our children, to keep them out of trouble, to promote a positive cycle of giving back, to offset childhood obesity, to give children a chance to learn and showcase their talent, to give to these children what many of us didn’t have, to instill life and survival skills in them, and to create leaders.
