Former Temple Owls standout and current New York Jets defensive tackle Muhammad Wilkerson was involved in a Car accident on New Jersey’s Garden State Parkway in the early morning this pass Saturday June 23.
Wilkerson was driving his 2011 Dodge Challenger around 4:29 a.m when he struck a Toyota Sienna contained 10 people. Wilkerson was changed with failure to maintain his lane and careless driving and suffered minor injuries but New Jersey State Police believe not drugs or alcohol played a roll in the accident.
None of the passengers in the Sienna were injured however Wilkerson was forced to crawl from his car after it flipped and travelled 10 yards on its roof. Wilkerson only required stitches in his forearm and the accident it’s expected to interface with the Jets upcoming season.
