Yesterday was a great day for Georgia native and the number one overall ranked high school football player in the land Robert Nkemdiche. The number one recruit based on ESPN’s 150 kicked off yesterday’s national signing day by deciding to take his talents to Mississippi signing with Ole Miss.
This young defensive prospect is from Loganville, Georgia (Grayson H.S.) is a 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive end who is very quick and has a high football IQ. Nkemdiche was being looked at by several SEC teams but he chose the Rebels over LSU, Florida and Alabama.
Robert will join his older brother Denzel Nkemdiche who is a defensive back at Ole Miss who had a breakout season for Ole Miss in 2012 collecting 82 tackles.
When Robert was asked about his decision to join Ole Miss he stated
“I feel like it’s the right place for me,” Nkemdiche said after his announcement. “I feel like they can do special things, and they’re on the rise. I feel like going to play with my brother [Denzel Nkemdiche], we can do something special.“
