Brooklyn’s own Joey Bada$$ visits the Breakfast Club to talk about his new found popularity and staying independent. I was wonderin what was the deal with Joey Bada$$ and Roc Nation because in the A$AP Rocky’s “1 Train” Joey states “Just got back from a 6 o clock wit Jigga/And I’m thinkin bout signing to the Roc but my niggas on the block still assigned to the Roc” Joey didn’t get into details but he did say that he didn’t sign and he’ll test out the independent thing for a little while until he gets a deal that he likes.
Joey also talks a little about his rap beef with Lil B which stemmed from a Capital STEEZ line on Joey’s “Survival Tactics” where he said “tell the based god don’t quit his day job” and Joey said he tweeted the line to Lil B because he just doesn’t like him.
