The Oakland Raiders have their man and it isn’t the free agent they signed this off season. After a very impressive 2014 preseason, the Oakland Raiders have decided to start rookie QB Derek Carr week 1 as the Raiders face the New York Jets. Derek Carr beat out veteran quarterback Matt Schaub to be named the starter.
The former Fresno State QB finished the preseason strong and he will be the 18th quarterback to led the Raiders in the last eleven years. Carr tossed four touchdown this preseason while completing over 66 percent of his passes. Carr was informed that he’ll start week 1 against the Jets this morning by Raiders head coach Dennis Allen. Is Derek Carr the answer for success in the black hole? Only time will tell.
