Gary Payton and Peyton Manning are two different people. You would expect most sports fans to know that. I mean, Gary Payton was a 9-time NBA All-star and one of the greatest defensive players in the history of the league. He’s also Black.
Peyton Manning in the quarterback who broke Brett Farve’s record for most touchdown passes in a career last night. The Super Bowl champion who’s been named to 13 Pro Bowls, holds a very prestigious record now. So it’s no shock that his accomplishment was the top story for any sports broadcaster.
This guy got the story right, but someone got the picture wrong.
KOMO in Seattle (coincidence?) reported on Manning’s record-breaking game. Instead of using Peyton Manning’s picture though, the ended up using Seattle legend Gary Payton’s picture.
Now, Gary Payton did find it funny. I wonder if Peyton has seen it yet?
