Last night in Brooklyn, at Light Space Studios, Method Man shot a video for his single, “The Purple Tape.” The single, which features Raekwon, Inspectah Deck and Meth’s son, (also named) Raekwon, is a cut off Meth’s recent project release, “The Meth Lab” – which was released through Hanz On Music this past August. Meth’s fifth studio album also features guest appearances from Hanz On, Redman, Masta Killa and more. For “The Purple Tape,” Method Man and his three guest artists all made appearances in the video – directed by The Last American B-Boy.
In our interview with Method Man, he boldly stated:
“This sh*t major! Wutang ain’t even get a video for A Better Tomorrow. So I guess this just shows everybody that there’s still, and always is, brotherly love among Wutang members.”
Method Man’s view of his relationship with fellow Wu members translated well on set, in front of the camera. All three Wutang members vibed off each other as if it was 1992 all over again – and his son held his own with the OGs.
