Soon after the news broke out of A$AP Yams‘ passing, A$AP Ant spoke with VladTV hours later in an exclusive interview to address the rumors circulating Yams’ death. Ant says that Yams was in the process of changing his life for the better. He wanted the best for others and believed in your dreams no matter what it may have been. He also mentions that Yams would have wanted for people to celebrate him and instead of mourning his death. As far as the rumors of overdoing on codeine and Xanax goes, A$AP Ant says that was not the case.
“That’s not what it is,” he said. “People keep talking saying he overdosed on Xanax and s*** like that. No, that’s not what happened at all. It wasn’t that at all.”
Another point he touched on was the picture of A$AP Rocky that is circulating of him at the hospital where Yams passed.
“Everybody on Instagram posting pictures of Rocky at the hospital where he passed away at, ya’ll looking like females and the tabloids,” he said. “That’s not any of your business to post that. That’s private for somebody. I would want to see a picture of me on the internet going to the hospital to see my grandfather while he’s dying. I wouldn’t want to see that.”
A$AP Yams was the founder and visionary behind the A$AP Mob, launching the careers of A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg. Our condolences go out to him and his family.
