Season 1 of “Empire” did exceptionally well as far as ratings are concerned. Actually, that doesn’t do it enough justice.. The show has become the most talked about series to grace television in a long time & it’s so talked about & critically acclaimed to the point that the creator, Lee Daniels, announced during the Summer press tour of FOX’s annual Television Critics Association that there will soon be a spinoff series.
While previewing the trailer for the upcoming new series, Daniels spoke on the matter & let it be known that it is already in the works.
Without question there will be a spinoff..
He has already sat with writers & executives to create the blueprint for the series. Empire will debut yet again on FOX Networks in September, & guest appearances this season will be made by stars such as Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Tyrese Gibson, Kelly Rowland, & Denzel Washington. A little birdie even said that the executive music producer behind the series, Timbaland, will be stepping from behind the boards & in front of the camera for a few episodes as well. Brace yourselves people! #EmpireWednesdays will be here before you know it!
