Kendrick Lamar was recently in Manchester, UK hosting a Hip Hop workshop for 40 young musicians. And like true artists, they (including Kendrick) all ended up in a cipher. The workshop was a chance for the young artists to perform in front of K-Dot. But after the performances, the Compton rapper grabbed the mic and started to freestyle.
Given that an opportunity like this may never happen again, one of the other rappers initiated a battle rap by saying how Kendrick wasn’t going to “whoop his ass.” And like the true emcee that he is, Kendrick grabbed the mic back and fired back. “I never met an MC that’s f*cking shorter than me.”
