Actress/author Chrystale Wilson has been in the entertainment business for sometime and it’s safe to say her hard work speaks for its self. A native of Atlanta, Chrystale Wilson got her big break as “Ronnie” in Ice Cube’s hit film The Player’s Club” which was released in 1998 and now Chrystale is back in the limelight with her new reality show “From The Bottom Up”.
With Chrystale Wilson’s new reality series “From The Bottom Up” currently on Centric, we spoke to Chrystale about her new show but we had to discuss “The Player’s Club” and the filming of that movie. Known by many as a urban classic, “The Player’s Club” was Chrystale’s first break and it was packed with urban talent. Chrystale shared her memories of working with Lisa Raye, Ice Cube, Jamie Foxx and Bernie Mac and give us some insight on how she got the part. Being the only cast member from Atlanta, Chystale explained how she was the voice of Atlanta’s strip club culture on set and how that helped the film.
We also spoke to Chrystale Wilson about being the original vixen and the current state of the vixen/ Instagram models. Chrystale gave us a wonderful response on this issue. Chrystale spoke on woman knowing the game and understanding what their getting into. Noting the game is slightly different today, but saying true to yourself and your morals will take you far in life.
Before concluding the interview we spoke with Chrystale Wilson about his present career, her new Queen Latifah produced reality show “From The Bottom Up” and her life as an author. Chrystale Wilson spoke on the casting of the show and how nothing happen by mistake. She highlighted that the show is about uplifting each other and addressing the current issues women in entertainment face. “From The Bottom Up” airs every Saturday night at 10pm EST on Centric.
