If Kendrick Lamar isn’t one of the most inspiring and influential artists of this generation, I don’t know who is. Through his artistry he has been able to break barriers in both music, social activism and recently partnering with Reebok and Mentoring.org to help promote being a role model in his community. Now, to add even more to his accomplishments it has been announced that Kendrick will receive the key to the city of his hometown of Compton,Ca. In a tweet sent out by Compton Mayor Aja Brown she expressed her appreciation for the rapper and said he will be receiving the honor on February 13th!
