There are 8 teams left in the 2016 NFL postseason and 4 teams will suit up today looking to move on to the next round. The first game will feature the New England Patriots hosting the Kansas City Chiefs and the second game features the Green Bay Packers facing the Arizona Cardinals at 8:15pm.
In the first matchup, I’m going with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Patriots are a championship unit but I feel their run stops here. Injuries began to slow the Patriots down at the end of the year and I think after a quick start early by the Patriots offense, the Chiefs defense will settle and take over the game. Look for Tom Brady to pass for over 250 yards with just two touchdowns. For the Chiefs Alex Smith will show the world why the Chiefs are the hottest team in the league. Smith will pass for over 300 yards and rush for a touchdown. The Chiefs will make a statement today.
In the late game, I like the home team. The Arizona Cardinals have been one of the NFL’s best teams are year and tonight they get to display that to the world. Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers haven’t looked like themselves this season and tonight they won’t either. Look for Carson Palmer to toss 4 touchdown passes tonight for a total of over 325 passing yards. The Cardinals defense has been great all season and tonight they will create 2 turnovers and 4 sacks. I like the Cards in this one.
Patriots 21 Chiefs 31
Packers 14 Cardinals 36
