Philadelphia has always been a competitive city. From music to sports, Philly is known to breed some of the most talented individuals. One of Philly’s favorite athletes, NBA star Dion Waiters, linked up with HipHopSince1987’s own E-Money & Rick Dange for an exclusive 2-Part interview. In Part 2 of this interview, Dion Waiters talked about his relationship with Kevin Durant and the tweet he sent out after he signed his new contract, and how he felt about Kevin Durant leaving OKC for Golden State. He also talked about how he almost became a Philadelphia Sixer, why it didn’t happen, and how he feels about the current Sixers team. Dion spoke in depth about his current team the Miami Heat, the great connection that the players have, how this is his favorite team that he has ever played on, and that feels like it’s “playoffs or bust” this year for the Miami Heat. Being that Dion Waiters is from Philly, he had to talk about his feeling about the current music scene in the city. He also talked about his relationship with Meek Mill, Meek’s new album “Wins & Losses”, and being around for alot of the recording of the album. Before ending the interview, Dion talked about how he feels responsible to motivate the younger people from his neighborhood and in Philly in general.
