On Sunday April 2nd, the Atlanta Hawks fell to (39-38) after losing to the (18-59) Brooklyn Nets (82-91) marking the Hawks second straight loss.

This marked the second time in a week that the Brooklyn Nets were victorious against the Atlanta Hawks. Nets big man Brook Lopez was big on the offensive end scoring 29 points with 5 rebounds and 5 assist. Jeremy Lin followed Lopez’s performance with 15 points of his own. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored 11 points on (4-8) shooting from the field.

For the Atlanta Hawks, after missing seven games, their all-star forward Paul Millsap returned to the floor. Millsap wasn’t a starter, he came in off the bench. Despite missing the Hawks previous 7 games, Millsap returned with 14 points with 4 rebounds and 2 assist in 25 minutes of play. Hawks point guard Dennis Schroder poured in 16 points and 8 assist. Tim Hardaway Jr. also scored 14 points in the loss.

The Atlanta Hawks are currently in 6th place in the Eastern conference and they have three big games coming up. The Hawks host the Boston Celtics on Thursday and then face the Cleveland Cavaliers in a back to back on Friday and Sunday.
