Two of the Eastern Conference top teams will face off in a big Friday night matchup. Tonight at Philips Arena in Atlanta, the (41-18) defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers are in town to face the (34-26) Atlanta Hawks.

The Hawks are coming off of a big win on Wednesday night against the Dallas Mavericks and they are looking to carry that momentum into tonight’s game. Hawks all-star Paul Millsap had a near triple-double putting up 18 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assist. The Hawks and Cleveland Cavs met back in November in Cleveland with the Hawks coming away with the victory (110-106). The Cavs and Hawks have made a few additions to their rosters since meeting in November. The Cavs have since added center Andrew Bogut (who will miss tonight’s game) and guard Deron Williams. The Hawks and Cavs also agreed on a trade that sent sharp shooting Kyle Korver from Atlanta to Cleveland. The Hawks have added forward Ersan Ilyasova in a trade with the Philadelphia Sixers right before the trade deadline.

The Cavs are coming off of a lost Wednesday to the Celtics and they are looking to bounce back in Atlanta this evening. Tonight’s matchup with not only feature two of the best teams in the East, during halftime of the Cavaliers vs. Hawks matchup, the Hawks will be retiring Pete “Pistol” Maravich’s number 44 jersey and they will be wearing the Hawks classic 1970’s blue and green uniforms. Tonight’s matchup with be televised on ESPN at 7pm. If your in the Atlanta area, the game can he heard on the radio on 92.9 the game.
