We have a great NBA Eastern Conference matchup tonight in Atlanta. Tonight, Dwight Howard and the (22-16) Atlanta Hawks take on Isaiah Thomas, Al Horford and the (24-15) Boston Celtics.
Fans at Philips Arena will be out in full force as former Atlanta Hawks star Al Horford returns to Atlanta for the first time in a Boston Celtics uniform. The Hawks have been on a four game road trip and they come into the game this evening on a seven game winning streak. The Hawks are most recently coming off of a victory against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night. This will be the Hawks first home game since trading All-Star sharp shooter Kyle Korver to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Boston Celtics will be short handed coming into Atlanta tonight with Avery Bradley OUT, however their All-Star guard Isaiah Thomas is on a roll this season. So Far this year, Thomas is averaging 28 points per game this season. Al Horford is starting to gel with his new team who is currently in third place in the East so seeing him matchup against his former team will be interesting.
The Atlanta Hawks vs. Boston Celtics matchup will tip off tonight at 8pm on ESPN. The Hawks will be taking fans back to the 1970’s tonight wearing their classic Blue, Green and White uniforms.
