On Tuesday March 13th before his big halftime performance with the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena, Terrell Thomas caught up with Hip-Hop star Kap G to speak on an array of topics.
With his record “Girlfriend” which recently went Gold climbing the charts and heating up the airwaves all across North America, Kap G who is known for showcasing Mexican heritage within his lyrical content and visual imagery discussed his road to success in Hip-Hop, what it means to perform at Philips Arena, how working with music legend Pharrell has shaped his career and much more.
“Being from ‘The A,’ this opportunity means the world to me,” said Kap G. “I love my Latin heritage and it’s an honor that I’ll get to share that with Hawks fans and my city. I want all of my fans to come out to the game and help me celebrate this historic moment.”
We sat down with Kap G in Philips Arena’s Hawks Shop and after speaking on what it means to perform at Philips Arena and more, Kap G shared his experience when the Philadelphia Eagles celebrated their Super Bowl 52 victory by listening to his record “Rings” in the locker room and he dropped a few hints on his upcoming project entitled ‘Big Mood’.
