Last night, Hot 97 hosted their annual Summer Jam concert at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. As you know, every year, the iconic Hip Hop station brings the biggest name in Hip Hop on one stage, and this year was no different. Headlining the show, of course, was NYC’s own, Cardi B, who was joined by Meek Mill, and Migos as the main acts.
And it wouldn’t be Summer Jam if there were no surprises. During Meek and Migos sets, Saweetie, A$AP Ferg, and Fabolous made surprises appearances. While the biggest surprise was saved for last during Cardi’s set. As she neared the end of her set, Cardi brought out Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus – to perform their hit collaboration, “Old Town Road.”
It was amazing to see the Hip Hop community embrace another genre’s artist – and show love to a new artist at the same time.
Prior to the Stadium Stage performances, the crowd got warmed up during the Festival Stage performances which included appearances from Melii, King Combs, Trippie Redd, Nicole Bus and G4 Boyz.
