When Pompano Beach, FL’s Jackboy was locked up the only music he had access to was pop music like Ed Sheeran and Adele. He grew a strong affinity for the genre and today he’s sharing a freestyle over a sample of the latter’s wildly popular “Hello.”
While Adele’s “Hello,” grapples with an old love, Jackboy’s does the same thing but he’s not talking about an ex, he’s talking about his former life: “I love the streets even though they can’t love me back/love to rap but my first love was going to jack.”
