Rising North Philadelphia rapper, 2Rare, released his sophomore single “New Virus” on Friday, July 17, via 10k Projects. Earlier this year, 2Rare dropped his debut single “Big Drippa” which has already garnered over 1.5 million views on Spotify. It is safe to assume “New Virus” will take off similarly.

“New Virus” is 2Rare’s raw proof that his ability to write addictive melodies is swift and precise. This new single is about how catching feeling is similar to catching a virus — a tongue-in-cheek title that also plays on the fears of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
