Brooklyn native Ether Da Connect is back with the release of the “Waka” remix featuring renowned rapper, Waka Flocka and Latin Drill sensation Mr. Swipey.
Back in 2019, Ether dropped and pushed the initial version of his single “Waka” featuring “Big Drip” rapper Fivio Foreign and Mr. Swipey. The single is ironically enough a track paying homage to Waka Flocka, and a tribute to general success. The breakout single has over 3 million views on Youtube and continues to grow.
The remix stays true to the energy and liveliness of the first version of the song, and the twist is: actually having Waka himself feature on the track. It’s correct to assume that it was no easy task, but it got done. Waka Flocka has been pretty absent from the music scene, but he has joined in on the fun and embraced the rising Brooklyn artists.
Waka’s verse sends a message to those who have any talent or skill, that no one should ever let up. The wave is there to start, and to inspire. His work can attest to this as he is beyond influential in the rise of the modern hip-hop era. The new “Waka” remix will also be featured on Ether Da Connect‘s forthcoming EP ‘M.O.D (Movies on Demand)’. M.O.D will feature artists like Fetty Wap, Fivio Foreign, and Mr. Swipey, for starters.
