The Hip-Hop Mogul and Team Roc are blaming Lamar Advertising Company for “inappropriately editing” their right to free speech.
Toward the beginning of July, JAY-Z and Roc Nation’s social justice division Team Roc encouraged a Wisconsin head prosecutor to arraign a cop for shooting and executing three men. Wauwatosa cop Joseph Mensah lethally shot 17-year-old Alvin Cole in February 24-year-old Jay Anderson in 2015 and 25-year-old Antonio Gonzales in 2016. In each of the three fatal passing’s, Mensah neglected to apply CPR and for one of them, he did not empower his dash camera.
JAY and Team Roc sent a letter to Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm requesting he arraign Mensah and proposed a strategic call to action via billboard.
