Bay Area R&B singer, Derek King, just dropped his new record, Let’s Be Honest, via EMPIRE. Featuring guest appearances from E-40, King Combs, Mar Mar Oso, and JGreen and spanning 11 tracks, the new project showcases Derek’s wide-ranging taste and versatility, cycling through mob-influenced bangers like opening track “Blessed” to club-ready rap-n-b like “Keep It 1” to luscious slow jams like “Dior Kisses” without missing a beat. Leading up to the release, Derek dropped a few pearls from the album, including videos for “Stories” feat. Eric Bellinger (55k views) and “Enough” feat. Zion (270k views). As if the world doesn’t have me in my feelings enough these days, this man comes through with a smooth project that sucks me in even deeper while also keeping me bumping and grooving in the home office at the same time.
