Another artist who isn’t letting #quarantinelife slow him down is Tory Lanez. On Monday, the Toronto artist releases “W;” giving us a preview of what’s to come on his upcoming mixtape, “The New Toronto 3.” Heavily driven by piano chords, Tory laces the production with personal lyrics as he reflects on his humble beginnings.
“I remember being so broke, shorty didn’t want to have no babies” he recalls in one verse. In another he boldly states, “When you keep that sh*t too real, they wanna fabricate you.”
Herrrrd you, Tory.
It’s been five years since Tory kickstarted the mixtape series, and this third installment will serve as his final with Interscope Records. Tory makes it clear, however, that there is absolutely no “bad blood,” between him and the label.
“I had a 5 album deal, I gave them 12 projects/albums if you include all the mixtapes with original music.”
IM SPITTING ON #NewToronto3 …… 🔥🔥😈🥶🥶
